What's actually free?
Encrypting and decrypting individual files with full-strength AES-256-GCM, one vault, the recovery key, integrity checks and secure delete. The security is identical to Pro — Pro adds power features, never stronger crypto.
What's the difference between Pro and Premium?
Pro is for working with lots of files on your PC: folders, several vaults, watch folders, key-file 2FA, secure notes, opening files without a decrypted copy and browsing encrypted folders. Premium adds everything that reaches beyond one PC: encrypting straight into your cloud folder, the command line for scripts and scheduled backups, sharing encrypted files with other people, one-file vault backups and previous versions of files you edit.
Can I upgrade from Pro to Premium later?
Yes, and you only pay the difference. Email clavis.enc@gmail.com from the address you bought Pro with and we'll send you an upgrade code.
When can I buy Pro or Premium?
Very soon — the store is being set up. Email clavis.enc@gmail.com and you'll hear the day it opens. Meanwhile, Clavis Free has the full encryption.
How do I activate Pro or Premium?
Your license key will arrive by email right after you buy. Open Clavis → Settings → License → paste the key → Activate. The key is checked once online; after that Pro works offline, with no account.
One licence, how many PCs?
Your license covers your own computers. To move it to a new PC, open Settings → License → Remove license on the old one first, then activate on the new one.
Can I try before I buy?
Yes — that's what the Free version is for. It gives you the full app and full-strength encryption, so you can be sure before upgrading. Because you can try everything for free, Pro purchases are final.
Do I have to pay for updates?
No. Pro and Premium are one-time and include all future updates.
